Casa Batlló In Barcelona
August 8, 2013
One of the most beautiful imposing buildings in Barcelona is Casa Batlló which we first saw at night as we drove up Passeig de Gracia. Lit up it is at its most beautiful in my opinion. It was built in the late 19th century by Emilio Salas Cortes who incidentally was one of Gaudi’s teachers. Gaudi put his mark all over the building with bone shaped columns, mask shaped balconies, tiles and glass ceramics. To visit this museum, as it is now, is like stepping into a fantasy world of dragons and pure wonder.

Lovely Mary. You would really love the architecture in Buenos Aires. Brian and I took many photos of beautiful wooden doors and lots of wrought iron work. We found we were walking around with our heads always looking up.
