Benches in Central Park
On the morning we went to Central Park in New York to look for birds, I noticed plaques on most of the benches. There are literally hundreds of them lining the walkways. When I looked closely I realised that they were mostly in memory of people who had passed away, but not always. It seems that anyone can buy a plaque and say whatever they like. I only took a few photos as we were leaving. The last one is my favourite.
Hi Mary
I’m off to NYC in Sept/Oct, so I’ve been enjoying your blog.
Just wondered if you had any tips on accommodation. There are going to be 8 of us. A big apartment would be good but I had my heart set on a brownstone experience. We’d ideally love the accomm in midtown or upper E or W side. Three if us girls are having a week in SoHo prior to the big group arriving.
Love any tips you might have on NYC. Perhaps breakfast soon with the girls….it’s been ages!!

Mary,
I just love those sort of things. Makes people stop and think about their lives. We have been in Dydney for five days for the Vivid Festival. The view from our apartment has been stunning. Coming home today.
Much love
